Midway Camp-N-Ride

Event

Title:
Midway Camp-N-Ride
When:
Fri, September 7, 2018 - Sun, September 9, 2018
Where:
Midway Waterfront Park - Midway, BC
Category:
Campouts

Description

Our September camp out in Midway is usually very well attended by both our Canadian and American members.  The weather in September is almost always excellent in the Boundary Country and the location on the banks of the Kettle River is shaded and grassy.  There are good washrooms and showers on site.

The cost is normally around $10 per tent per night but we'll confirm pricing a little closer to the weekend.  The campground is reserved on Friday and Saturday nights but some members show up on Thursday.

Midway is a little shy on amenities but it does have a Pub, restaurant, grocery store, hardware store and fuel.  It's a very scenic and pleasant ride to Greenwood and Grand Forks for a day run if you are looking for more.  The Rock Creek Golf Course is a few kilometers down the road and has a nice restaurant as well.

If you are looking for a nice hike, the hill across the river has some excellent well marked hiking trails and some excellent views up and down the Kettle River.  There are also nice walking paths along the river if you are not excited by the steeper trails.  Midway also offers a nice Museum to visit.
