Kaslo Camp-N-Ride
Event
- Title:
- Kaslo Camp-N-Ride
- When:
- Fri, August 8, 2025 - Mon, August 11, 2025
Description
We will be returning to the Kaslo Municipal Campground for our annual Kaslo Camp-N-Ride. We will continue with the Friday to Monday format which seems to work well for us and for the municipality.
There is plenty of tenting space available on the large treed and grassy area. There is some room along the roadside for RV's but there are no services there. The cost for camping will be $10 per person per night. As usual we will be collecting camp fees from attendees and submitting them on behalf of the group so cash and exact change will be appreciated.
The adjacent RV Park has serviced sites so if you wish to park an RV there, you'll have to contact the campground directly. (Link above)
There are also Motels and B&B's available in the Kaslo area if you want to attend but aren't the camping type. There are some good choices for restaurants in town which is a short walk 5 minute walk from the campsite. We don't usually do a big dinner out, but there is always some groups getting together for meals. Just ask around.
We will carry on the tradition of having coffee and some sharable snacks on Saturday morning. Please bring your coffee cup. We'll put on coffee and have some cream and sugar available. If you could bring a sharable snack (baked goods, fruit or??) that would be appreciated.
For the last couple of years we have put together an optional group dinner for Saturday evening but it was a whole lot of work for a few people (mainly Judy) so we're not planning that for this year. If someone coming wants to take that on, you can contact Judy and she will pass on what has been done in the past. Beyond that, I would suggest that campers gather together in smaller groups to either put on a dinner or go out for dinner.
The weather here in southern BC has been pretty good with the occasional rain storm and that has helped keep the fires and smoke down. We hope that continues and we hope to see you all there.
