Hi there, needed to change the oil and filter on my 2020 R1250RT at home due to logistics and time constraints (plus I like doing it myself) but of course now I need to clear the service light and reset the mileage for the. reminder. Any one have any suggestions as to which scan tool I should purchase (motoscan, etc)  Thanks Rick

Motoscan is a much more economical choice especially if all you need to do is reset the service interval. Just make sure to get the correct OBD Bluetooth dongle and not one of the cheaper ones. A popular one is the OBDLink LX. The Motoscan app only works on Android. If you don't have an Android phone you can always pick up a used one cheap just for the purpose. The Ultimate version of Motoscan will give you the greatest scope for coding. On the other hand if you foresee a need to want to code the latest tech on some future newer bike (like the TFT, the multifunction rear lights, the new LDL TPMS...) then the GS-911 has that capability but costs considerably more.

Oh, and if your bike has the round diagnostic connector you will also need an adapter cable that converts it to a standard OBD.
