2002 R1150RT Headlight Bulb & Pilot (Parking) Light Bulb Replacement

Help!
While out on a Sunset Cruise last night I realized that my Headlight wasn't working (although the High Beam and Fog Lights were fine). Also, all the other lights are ok

Looking through the Manuals & my Haynes I have decided that I can probably do this replacement myself, BUT the replacement bulbs seem VERY,VERY expensive. Could not a standard light bulb (numbers matching, of course) from the local Lordco, etc. do the job? Or, do I have to put the expensive BMW Replacement in?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Daniel,
i just checked the kind of bulb you need.
Headlight is a H7 12V 55W Px26d.
Usually here in Germany we don't buy replacement bulbs from BMW.
Any bulb that matches the numbers above should work.
I prefer Osram....... here is a link to their US/CA Website, where you can choose by Brand and Model.

Hi Michael: Thanks for the info. I stopped by the local auto shop and picked up both a Pilot & Low Beam for less than $20 total.
The both work perfectly
