Though I would do a bit of a write up on my recent trip to the National Sidecar rally in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. I am doing some research to decide on how I am going to wreck my new 2018 GSA
I have a few pictures, mainly of my trip to and from but Mike on Adventure riders posted a lot of pictures of some of the rigs in attendance. Many will recognize ( No Camp) Jim on his Honda rig.

Anyways, I managed to do Both Gray Creek Pass and the Santa Rosa road so I can tick these off my list of gravel travel roads. This wasn't a huge trip but of the 1700 kilometers I managed over 500 of them on gravel so success in my opinion.
I'm on the wrong computer so will add a couple of pictures when not at work

Managed to find some nice gravel on one of the days there

So after the rally, I trundle several back roads and work my way to Rossland, then take the Old Cascade highway over to Cristina Lake. After a few missteps I find a nice spot to camp and shower.
The next day, up the Granby to Edgewood, crossed over to have lunch at the old Mushroom cafe then a nice romp on highway 6 to home

Sounds like a great trip Brian. Some kind of Nirvana for Sidecar riders. John and I crossed Gray Creek Pass a couple of weeks before you on the way to Calgary. It was in pretty good shape.



If you're ever hungry for breakfast in Kimberly we highly recommend the "Our Place Restaurant". It's right in the Platzel (town square) in Kimberly and they serve an excellent breakfast most of the day.
