We are ok with any alternative. We've only been to the Barley Station in Salmon Arm.

I noticed over the years that restaurant Facebook sites are a better source of info about the status of the restaurant mostly because they do the posts themselves whereas they pay someone to do their website and almost invariably the latter isn't kept current.

By the way, Mike & Janice, thanks for spotting that.  There aren't any real alternatives to eat in Kingfisher so it could have been an issue and hungry ride back for an alternative.  It doesn't really matter to me where we end up.  I just thought of the golf course as I've eaten there before and it was pretty good.  As mentioned there is a Thai food restaurant in Salmon Arm but if that isn't your cup of tea there are also a couple of pretty good pubs up that way.  Another option is Sicamous.  We can pick a spot when we meet in Armstrong.  As long as we get a good ride in while the weather is good, I'm good.

Of course we didn't go to Mable Lake with the Golf Course closed, so instead we rode some back roads up to Sicamous and had lunch at Moose Mulligans Pub.  Roads Traveled were:

• Back Enderby Road
• Enderby Grindrod Road
• Riverside Road
• Grandview Bench Road
• Deep Creek Road
• Schubert Road

All in all a nice route on a perfect fall day.  

 

Mike, Janice, Rob and Heather joined me for the ride.
